私は都営新宿線に乗っていました。まあ、いつもの日常・・スティングのことを考えながら・・
スティング音楽鑑賞をしていました。

電車のドア上にある画面で、”全楽曲をユニバーサル・ミュージックに3億ドル（約350億円）で売却！
スティング” というニュースが目に入りました。
The news “Legendary artist and songwriter Sting sold his song catalog to Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG), which appeared on the screen above the doors of the train,
caught my eyes.
日本ではポリスと呼ばれている、”The Police” での彼の眼を見張る活躍は、
その後のソロでの活躍を後押ししたのは言うまでもありません。それらすべてのスティング名曲を！

ポリス時代からソロ作品まで彼のソングライター、レコーディングアーティストとしての全作品が
ユニバーサルのファミリーの一員となることになります。

While UMPG said that it had struck an “historic,
comprehensive worldwide agreement for the catalog of

私もこのニュースには驚きました。
なにせ、新アルバム ”The Bridge” ザ・ブリッジが出た翌年でしたから。

Also he had just released his new album “The Bridge” the previous year.
スティングのバイタリティーと、頭の良さ、
そして彼の音楽と人生を考え愛する何か熱いもの、Passion
を感じたのは私一人だけではなかったと思います。
Not only Sting’s vitality and his intelligence, but also his passion for music and
