最後は泣けますね・・・人としての魂の心の動きが・・・
By entering into a contract with the demon Mephistopheles, Dr. Faustus gains magical powers. The ending is quite moving indeed, as it portrays the emotional journey of the human soul.

壮絶なドラマがあります。
Indeed, his romantic partner, having become lovers, accidentally kills her own mother by administering the wrong dosage of medicine. This is just one instance of the dramatic intensity in this narrative.
ただ・・一つ言霊があります。「時よとまれ 汝は美しい」というと、悪魔との契約が
果たされる。つまり魂は悪魔のものになる。彼はいわないんですね・・・

And in the second part, to fulfill the emperor’s wishes,
he summons the goddess Helen and he got attracted by her beauty.

しかし、ここで、女神との間にうまれた息子の事故死・・そして悪魔の力を借りて勝利を得る戦争・・
得た領地は殺伐としていました。更に不幸がファウスト博士に訪れます。
However, tragedy strikes with the accidental death of his son born from the union with the goddess, followed by a war won with the help of devil’s power, which leaves his acquired territory in turmoil. Further misfortunes befall Dr. Faustus.
誤って、老夫婦を殺めてしまうのです。そしてその報いとしてある霊に視力を奪われてしまいます。
He accidentally murders an elderly couple,
and as punishment, has his sight taken by a spirit.
ここで悪魔は待ってましたと、ファウスト博士の墓穴を手下に掘らせるのですが、ファウスト博士。
その掘る音が、彼の理想として国家の完成へ工事をしているのと勘違いし・・幸福の中で・・

Here, the devil cunningly makes Faust’s underlings dig his grave. While, Faust, mistaking the sound of digging for the construction of his ideal nation, utters, “Stay, thou art so fair,” lost in his moment of happiness.
そして彼は人としての生を終えました。

悪魔はここぞと、ファウスト博士の魂を連れ去ろうとします。
